Why Charter in Cenderawasih Bay?
Cenderawasih Bay (Teluk Cenderawasih) is a vast, sheltered bay on the north coast of Papua, protected as Teluk Cenderawasih National Park, the largest marine national park in Indonesia. Its fame comes from the whale sharks that visit the bagans, the traditional floating fishing platforms near Kwatisore in the south of the bay, where fishermen share small fish with them. That makes close, calm encounters possible on most days of the year.
Beyond the whale sharks, the bay is known for old, slow growing hard corals, sheltered islands and very few visitors. Distances are long and facilities are almost non existent, which is exactly why a private yacht with its own crew, chef and dive team is the way to explore it.
