Do I need to dive to enjoy Indonesia?
No. Diving is a headline activity, but most Indonesian yacht itineraries are built around anchorages that also deliver above the water: pink beaches, jungle-clad karst, viewpoints, wildlife and quiet lagoons. A non-diver on a Komodo or Raja Ampat trip is not the odd one out.
What non-divers actually do all day
- Snorkeling on shallow reefs at 2 – 3 anchorages per day
- Kayak and paddleboard around karst islands and lagoons
- Hike Padar (Komodo) and Piaynemo / Wayag viewpoints (Raja Ampat)
- Meet Komodo dragons on Rinca with a ranger
- Visit local villages (Wayag, Bajo, Arborek) with the crew
- Sunset drinks on the top deck with the tender back
Best region for a non-diving trip
